Job Description
The Construction Contracts Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kharagpur. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts and related documentation with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring contract compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, monitoring contract performance, managing variations and claims, and coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and the finance team. The Construction Contracts Manager will also track contract timelines, oversee documentation and reporting, support risk management, and provide guidance on contractual issues throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications
• Demonstrated expertise in construction contracts management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements.
• Strong knowledge of construction project workflows, budgeting, scheduling,



and stakeholder coordination.
• Understanding of relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in document management, reporting, and use of office productivity software (e.g., MS Office, contract management tools).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Explicit written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a similar contracts or commercial management role within construction is strongly preferred.
