Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physical Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Physical Design Engineer will be responsible for implementing and optimizing chip-level physical design, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. Daily activities include working with RTL and logic design teams to understand design intent, running physical verification checks, and addressing DRC, LVS, and other signoff issues. The role also involves collaborating with circuit and architecture teams to balance performance, power, and area, preparing design documentation, and supporting tape-out activities. The engineer will participate in design reviews,



contribute to tool and flow improvements, and help maintain robust methodologies for physical implementation. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, routing, and timing closure.
• Candidates should possess skills in Physical Verification, including experience with DRC, LVS, and signoff tools and methodologies.
• Candidates should possess skills in Logic Design and RTL Design, with the ability to interpret and work closely with RTL and synthesis outputs.
• Candidates should possess skills in Circuit Design concepts, including understanding of performance, power, and area trade-offs.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) for physical implementation and verification.
• Solid understanding of VLSI design flows, timing analysis, and low-power design techniques.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
