Experience:
20+ years of relevant experience in Outfitting design and engineering for large-scale offshore, marine, or EPC projects, with proven exposure to offshore wind energy projects, offshore platforms, substations, jackets, topsides, shipyards, or heavy fabrication projects. The candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in leading outfitting design teams and delivering complete outfitting design packages supporting fabrication and installation activities. Essential: The Lead Outfitting Design Engineer shall be responsible for overall leadership and execution of outfitting design activities for large-scale offshore wind energy projects. The role requires full ownership of the outfitting scope covering engineering, 3D modelling, detailed drawings, coordination, fabrication support, installation readiness, and execution support. The Lead Outfitting Design Engineer shall plan, manage, and control all outfitting-related activities in line with project schedules, quality requirements, safety standards, and offshore regulations, while coordinating closely with project management and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Desirable Capabilities: The candidate shall possess strong expertise in outfitting design and detailing for offshore and marine structures, including preparation of detailed drawings and models for railings, gratings, stairways, ladders, handrails, platforms, scaffoldings, walkways, toe plates, kick plates, and other tertiary steel items required for offshore wind structures. The engineer shall be capable of developing and coordinating outfitting layouts using 3D tools such as Tekla, / AVEVA Marine or equivalent offshore design platforms, ensuring proper integration with structural, piping, electrical, and mechanical disciplines to achieve clash-free, constructible designs suitable for fabrication yards and offshore installation.



The Lead Outfitting Design Engineer shall ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards such as ISO, EN, DNV, offshore wind project specifications, and client requirements, while addressing operability, maintainability, safety, and access requirements. The role requires deep understanding of offshore fabrication practices, installation constraints, ergonomics, and safety considerations associated with offshore wind energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
The position includes responsibility for preparation, review, and approval of all key outfitting deliverables, including general arrangement drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, installation drawings, assembly drawings, material take-offs, and as-built documentation for railings, gratings, stairs, ladders, handrails, scaffoldings, and associated tertiary steel items. The Lead Outfitting Design Engineer shall support procurement activities through technical evaluations, vendor document reviews, and clarification of outfitting-related scopes. In addition, the Lead Outfitting Design Engineer shall provide strong project management support by planning and monitoring outfitting engineering progress, estimating and controlling man-hours, allocating resources, identifying technical and execution risks, managing design changes, and supporting project reporting. The role requires close coordination with construction, installation, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to address fabrication and site queries, resolve design issues, support offshore installation activities, and ensure smooth handover of outfitting systems.
