Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and support the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate should have positive knowledge of accounting principles, MS Excel, Xero accounting software, GST, and other basic statutory compliance requirements.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that accounting activities are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities :

- Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including sales, purchases, expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Maintain and update financial records using Xero accounting software and MS Excel.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, ledger reconciliations, and customer/vendor account statements.
- Assist in GST returns, TDS calculations, and other applicable statutory compliance activities.
- Prepare monthly reports, expense summaries, and basic MIS reports for management.
- Monitor outstanding payments, receivables, payables, and routine financial transactions.
- Verify invoices, bills, vouchers, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy.




- Support month-end and year-end closing activities and assist in resolving accounting discrepancies.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience: 3-6years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial records management.
- Practical experience with Xero accounting software is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, filters, sorting, and basic reporting.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and other applicable statutory compliance.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, ledger management, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Good attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage accounting tasks independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
