Love Made Edible is looking for an Assistant Baker to join our production kitchen. We create custom and wedding cakes, breads, baked goods, desserts, and food for café partners and grazing tables.

Responsibilities

- Assist with preparing and baking cakes, cookies, brownies, breads, and other desserts.
- Measure ingredients accurately and follow recipes and production instructions.
- Support cake assembly, filling, frosting, and basic decoration.
- Help with savoury preparations and event orders when required.
- Maintain consistency in product quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Assist with packing, labelling, storage, and dispatch.
- Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organised.




- Follow food safety practices and help minimise wastage.

What we’re looking for

- Basic baking knowledge; bakery experience or formal pastry training is an advantage.
- Willingness to work across breads, baked goods, cakes, and desserts.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen and meet production timelines.
- A team player who shares responsibilities and communicates clearly.
- Attention to detail and openness to feedback, learning, and following our quality standards.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a hands-on approach.
