Visual Designer — Brand, Content & PackagingAbout TurtleTalesTurtleTales is a Bengaluru circular-economy startup turning agricultural waste into products people actually use. We convert rice-husk waste into HuskMade™ bio-composite drinkware. Founded in 2024, we're small, growth-stage, and moving fast — our work shows up on retail shelves, on Amazon, and in the hands of corporate clients buying sustainable gifting at scale.

The roleWe're hiring our Visual Designer. You'll own how the brand looks and feels — everything from the Instagram grid to the box a customer opens. This is a build-it-from-scratch seat with real ownership, not a "make this one poster" job. If you want to shape a brand's entire visual identity and watch your work go straight to market, this is it.
What you'll own (the daily work)
• Brand & social design — flyers, posters, Instagram and LinkedIn creative, ad creatives, product catalogues, sales and pitch decks
• Product & lifestyle photography — shoot our HuskMade cups and EcoScript paper products in-house, then edit and retouch into campaign-ready images
• Quick mockups — quick-turnaround logo and print mockups for merch, co-branded orders, and corporate gifting, often same-day
• Brand consistency — keep the look coherent across every touchpoint as we scale
What you'll grow into (strong plus)
• Packaging design — dielines, print-ready artwork, and print-production coordination for HuskMade and EcoScript. We'll pair you with a freelance packaging specialist to start, so you can ramp up on the technical side.
• Video — short-form product and brand videos, reels, and simple motion graphics
Must-haves:
• A portfolio that shows range — brand/social design and real photography you shot and edited yourself (not just stock plus templates)
• Fluency in the core toolkit: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator,
plus InDesign or a comparable layout/packaging tool; Canva for speed
• Comfort owning your own camera work — framing, lighting, basic product styling, and retouching
• 1–2 years of hands-on design experience, at least some of it in a structured professional setting (agency, in-house team, or similar) where you learned to hit deadlines and take feedback
• Self-management — you can take a one-line brief and run with it without hand-holding
Nice-to-haves
• Packaging / print-production experience — dielines, bleed, CMYK and Pantone, working directly with printers
• Video editing and basic motion (Premiere, After Effects, or CapCut)
• Exposure to sustainability, FMCG, or D2C brands
Who this is for — and who it isn't:
This is for someone who wants complete ownership of a brand's visuals and thrives in ambiguity — you'll build the systems, not inherit them. It's a fast, small-team environment: priorities shift, you'll wear several hats, and you'll ship a lot.
It's probably not for you if you need tightly-scoped briefs, multiple approval layers, or a narrow specialist lane.
One honest note on our products: TurtleTales makes food-contact drinkware, so any claim touching sustainability, health, or compliance goes through a review process. You won't be inventing marketing claims on the fly — and that's deliberate.
What we offer
• Complete ownership of TurtleTales' visual identity from day one
• A real say in how a growth-stage brand gets built — your work goes straight to market
• Compensation: ₹2.7 to ₹3.5 LPA, based on skills and portfolio
• Location: Bengaluru, Karntaka, On-site
• Employment type: full-time
How to apply
Send your portfolio link (not attachments) plus a 3-line note on one brand you think looks great and why. Shortlisted candidates complete a small test assignment — a real brief.
