Job TitleAdmission Counsellor – Pre-University College (PUC)

Job Summary

Sri Lakshmi PU College is looking for a motivated, confident, and student-friendly Admission Counsellor to handle student admissions for 1st PUC and 2nd PUC. The candidate will be responsible for counselling students and parents, explaining academic programmes, following up on admission enquiries, and achieving admission targets.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesHandle admission enquiries from students and parents through phone calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, and other channels.
2. Explain the college’s courses, academic facilities, fee structure, scholarships (where applicable), and admission procedures.
3. Counsel students regarding Science and Commerce streams based on their interests and academic goals.
4. Follow up regularly with prospective students and parents to convert enquiries into admissions.
5. Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, admissions, and student details.
6. Conduct campus visits and provide information about classrooms, laboratories, faculty, and other facilities.
7. Assist students and parents with application forms, document verification, and admission formalities.
8. Coordinate with the administration and academic team to ensure a smooth admission process.
9. Participate in admission campaigns, school visits, education fairs, and promotional activities.

Meet monthly and seasonal admission targets set by the management.
11. Maintain qualified relationships with students, parents, and school representatives.
12. Prepare daily and weekly reports on enquiries, follow-ups, conversions, and confirmed admissions.

- Eligibility CriteriaMinimum qualification: Any graduate.
- Previous experience in admissions, educational counselling, sales, or customer service is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Kannada is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office, Excel, WhatsApp, and data entry.
- Ability to persuade, negotiate, and build trust with parents and students.
