Role Description The US Payroll Implementation Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for onboarding new clients onto UZIO’s payroll platform and ensuring accurate, compliant setup and processing from day one. This role manages end-to-end implementation activities, including requirements gathering, configuration of payroll settings, tax setup, benefit and deduction mapping, and validation of legacy payroll data. The specialist collaborates with clients to understand their pay structures, schedules, and policies, and provides training and guidance on best practices for ongoing payroll operations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating implementation timelines, troubleshooting configuration issues, preparing test payroll runs, and partnering with internal teams such as product, support, and account management to deliver a smooth transition.



The role also involves maintaining detailed documentation, monitoring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, and continuously improving implementation processes based on client feedback and system enhancements.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing, with experience managing end-to-end payroll setup and execution.
- Knowledge of Payroll Taxes and related compliance requirements at federal, state, and local levels.
- Experience with Payroll Services, including system implementation, client onboarding, and platform configuration.
- Hands-on experience managing Garnishments, deductions, and other complex payroll scenarios.
- Familiarity with US HRIS and payroll software; experience with SaaS platforms or AI-enabled tools is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and apply payroll regulations, policies, and company procedures with attention to detail.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, practical terms.
- Proven organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple implementations and deadlines.
- Comfort working in a remote, tech-driven environment and collaborating across distributed teams.
- Relevant experience in US payroll implementation or operations; a degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or a related field is preferred but not required.
