About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Territory Manager / Area Sales Manager with relevant experience in Sports Medicine. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth,

developing strong relationships with healthcare professionals and hospitals, expanding market presence, and achieving assigned sales targets within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for sports medicine products.
- Promote and sell sports medicine products, surgical instruments, implants, and related medical devices to hospitals, sport medical centres, and healthcare institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, arthroscopy surgeons, hospital purchase departments, and other key decisionmakers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base across the assigned territory.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and clinical product discussions for surgeons and healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate with surgeons and hospital teams to support product evaluations, surgical procedures, and product usage, wherever required and permitted.
- Manage distributor and dealer networks, ensuring product availability, sales growth, and effective market coverage.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and customer requirements to identify opportunities for business expansion.




- Prepare sales forecasts, territory plans, customer visit reports, and periodic sales performance reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, tenders, purchase orders, product availability, and timely delivery.
- Follow up on payments, outstanding receivables, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in medical conferences, workshops, product training sessions, and healthcare industry events.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable medical device regulations, and ethical sales practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of sports medicine products and the orthopaedic medical devices market.
- Established relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, and hospitals will be an advantage.
- Experience in surgical product sales, particularly arthroscopy and sports injury management products.
- Solid communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop new business.
- Good understanding of territory management, distributor handling, and competitor analysis.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Educational Qualification & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline; Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related qualification preferred.

2–6 years of experience in medical device sales, preferably in sports medicine, orthopaedics, arthroscopy, or surgical equipment.
- Candidates with direct experience in sports medicine product sales and an established surgeon network will be preferred.
- Prior experience handling hospitals, corporate healthcare groups, and distributors is desirable.
