Role Description The Technician role at eGlu Home Automation is a full-time hybrid position based in Sulthanbathery, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks. On a day-to-day basis, the Technician installs, configures, and tests home automation devices and systems at customer locations, ensuring proper integration and reliable performance. The role includes diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing clear guidance to customers on how to use eGlu products and mobile applications.

The Technician documents work performed, reports technical feedback to the team, and follows safety and quality standards during all field and remote activities.



Collaboration with support and engineering teams is expected to help improve installation practices and customer experience.

Qualifications

- Technical knowledge of basic electrical systems, wiring, and electronic devices, with the ability to safely install and configure hardware components.
- Familiarity with home automation concepts, IoT devices, and mobile app–based control systems, or willingness to quickly learn these technologies.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose issues on-site and remotely using provided tools and documentation.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to explain technical information clearly, manage expectations, and provide a positive service experience.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time efficiently, and maintain accurate records of installations and service activities.
- Basic computer and smartphone literacy, including comfort with using apps, updating firmware, and reporting issues through digital tools.
- Relevant technical diploma, certification, or equivalent practical experience in electronics, electrical, or related fields is preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally within Sulthanbathery and nearby areas as required for installations and support visits.
