Role Description The Student Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode. This role involves providing one-on-one and group counseling to students, guiding them through academic choices, career paths, and personal development.

The Student

Counselor will conduct intake interviews, assess student needs, and create action plans, while collaborating with faculty and administrative staff to support student success. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, organizing counseling sessions and workshops, responding to student inquiries, and offering continuous follow-up support. The role also requires proactive outreach to ensure students are aware of available resources and opportunities within the academy.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess solid Student Counseling skills, including the ability to support learners with academic, personal, and social challenges.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills to guide students in exploring options, setting goals, and planning education and career pathways.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to build trust with diverse individuals.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to respond promptly, professionally, and empathetically to student and parent inquiries.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Education systems and practices, with the ability to translate them into practical guidance for students.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field are preferred.
- Additional beneficial skills include conflict resolution, basic data entry and documentation, workshop facilitation, and proficiency with common office and communication software.
- Prior experience in academic advising, student services, or educational institutions, and fluency in English and local languages, will be an advantage.
