About us

Bharat Roll Industry Pvt Ltd is a Kolkata-based manufacturer of cast rolls for steel mills. Our group also runs D2C marketplace operations: orders, inventory, settlements and returns for brands across Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify and offline retail, from multiple warehouses.

The role

We're hiring a senior engineer to own the systems that run the group's businesses, starting with the ERP we've built for our marketplace operations (Next.js + Supabase). You'll make it secure and production-grade, and help turn it into a product other brands use.

We hire for skill without AI. Once you join, Jatin Saini, who built the ERP, will teach you AI-assisted development and you'll make it part of how we build.

What you'll do

- Own the architecture: the data model, APIs, background jobs, and integrations with OMS/WMS platforms and marketplace APIs
- Secure it: login and access, roles and permissions, Postgres row-level security, secrets, backups and audit trails




- Keep the data correct at scale: reconcile orders, inventory, settlements and returns across channels
- Set engineering standards: code review, testing, migrations and monitoring
- Learn AI-assisted development and use it every day

What you bring

- 5 to 10 years building and running production software
- Deep fundamentals in one backend language (TypeScript/Node, Python, Java or Go) and in SQL, ideally PostgreSQL
- Experience designing a relational database schema and running it in production
- Hands-on data security: access control, encryption and secure API design
- Nice to have: e-commerce, inventory or finance systems; Supabase or Next.js
