1. Role Purpose The Service Catalogue Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, standardising, and governing AVASO’s global service catalogue. The role ensures that all service offerings are clearly defined, commercially aligned, operationally deliverable, and documented in a consistent format for use by Sales, Solutioning, PMO, Service Delivery, and Operations teams.

The position will serve as the central owner of service catalogue information, ensuring accuracy, completeness, version control, stakeholder validation, and periodic updates throughout the service lifecycle.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Service Catalogue Development & Ownership

- Develop and maintain a centralised, structured global service catalogue covering AVASO’s service offerings.
- Define service descriptions, scope, deliverables, prerequisites, exclusions, dependencies, and delivery models.
- Maintain service classifications, categories, subcategories, and standard service attributes.
- Ensure each catalogue entry has a clearly defined service owner and documented approval.
- Identify and eliminate duplicate, outdated, incomplete, or inconsistent service entries.

B. Service Definition & Standardisation

- Work with Solutioning, Sales, PMO, GFS, GSC, Skilled Services, Digital Workspace, and other relevant teams to define and validate service offerings.
- Standardise service descriptions and delivery requirements across regions while accommodating approved local variations.
- Document service eligibility, resource requirements, delivery assumptions, and operational dependencies.
- Ensure service definitions are sufficiently clear to support solution design, proposals, service transitions, and operational execution.

C. Catalogue Data Management & Tools

- Maintain accurate catalogue data using ServiceNow or an equivalent service management platform, supported by structured repositories and reporting tools as required.
- Establish data quality checks for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and duplication.
- Manage catalogue updates, version control, approval workflows, and change history.
- Maintain catalogue records, supporting documentation, ownership details, review dates, and approval status.
- Develop reports and dashboards to track catalogue completeness, pending validations, overdue reviews, and data quality.

D. Governance & Stakeholder Management

- Establish and maintain the service catalogue governance process, including submission, review, approval, publication, and retirement of services.

- Coordinate with service owners and functional leaders to validate service information and resolve outstanding gaps.
- Conduct periodic catalogue reviews and ensure timely updates following changes to service scope, delivery models, or commercial arrangements.
- Maintain an action tracker for pending service definitions, approvals, and stakeholder confirmations.
- Escalate overdue inputs, conflicting definitions, and governance exceptions to the designated leadership team.

E. Commercial & Operational Alignment

- Coordinate with Finance, Sales, and Solutioning to ensure service descriptions align with approved pricing models, cost assumptions, and commercial terms.
- Capture relevant SLAs, service coverage, response and resolution commitments, resource requirements, and delivery constraints.
- Ensure catalogue entries reflect approved service capabilities and do not introduce unapproved commercial or operational commitments.
- Support proposal preparation, solution validation, transition planning, and service onboarding by providing accurate catalogue information.
- Identify opportunities to simplify service offerings, improve standardisation, and reduce repetitive solutioning effort.

3. Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Requirements

- Proven hands-on experience in service catalogue management, IT service management, service portfolio administration, or a closely related role.
- Strong capability in service definition, documentation, classification, standardisation, and data governance.
- Practical experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM/service management platform.
- Strong stakeholder coordination skills, including working with technical, commercial, and operational teams.
- Experience maintaining structured repositories, managing change records, and producing management reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITSM knowledge.
- Experience supporting global IT services, field services, managed services, EUC, networking, or professional services.

- Working knowledge of Power BI, Excel, or similar reporting tools.
- Familiarity with service costing, pricing structures, SLAs, and service delivery models.

1. Catalogue Ownership: Takes accountability for end-to-end catalogue completeness, accuracy, and usability.
2. Analytical Thinking: Identifies information gaps, inconsistencies, duplication, and opportunities for standardisation.
3. Governance Discipline: Maintains clear ownership, approvals, review cycles, and audit trails.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Obtains inputs and resolves issues across multiple functions and regions.
5. Execution & Attention to Detail: Delivers accurate documentation, maintains action trackers, and meets agreed deadlines.

5. First 90-Day Deliverables

First 30 days — Assess and Baseline

- Establish a prioritised remediation and stakeholder validation tracker.

- Implement catalogue quality and governance reporting.
- Establish a recurring review process and a prioritised improvement roadmap.

6. Role Boundaries The Service Catalogue Manager owns catalogue structure, service definitions, data quality, governance, and maintenance.

The role collaborates with, but does not independently replace, the responsibilities of:

- Solutioning: Solution architecture, technical design, and proposal ownership.
- Sales / Commercial: Customer commitments, pricing approval, and contract negotiations.
- Service Delivery: Validation of operational feasibility and actual delivery capability.
- Finance: Approval of costing assumptions and commercial models.

- 7. Success Profile The successful candidate will be a hands-on Manager who can independently organise service information, work with multiple stakeholders, establish disciplined governance, and maintain a reliable global catalogue.
