We are seeking a Senior PCB Design Engineer with 5 to 7 years of hardware layout experience to lead the development of our next-generation medical monitoring platforms. In this role, you will design clinical-grade 4 to 6-layer PCBs spanning both Rigid and Rigid-Flex architectures. Your work will power a versatile ecosystem that includes compact, battery-operated wearable devices as well as bedside consoles running on medical-grade AC-DC adapters.

Leveraging Altium

Designer and KiCad, you will bridge microvolt-level EEG signal acquisition with rigorous medical safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Multi-Layer Layout (Rigid & Flex): Execute advanced component placement and routing for 4–6 layer rigid, flexible, and rigid-flex configurations, optimizing for compact medical enclosures.

•⁠ ⁠Low-Noise Bio-Signal Layout: Implement expert layout strategies to capture low-amplitude EEG/ECG signals, isolating sensitive analog front-ends (AFEs) from digital noise and switching regulators.

•⁠ ⁠Dual Power Architecture Design: Design robust power distribution networks (PDN) capable of managing low-power battery operations alongside high-voltage mains charging via medical-grade AC-DC adapters.

•⁠ ⁠Medical Compliance & Isolation: Implement strict trace clearances, creepage distances, and protective grounding schemes to meet IEC 60601-1 patient isolation requirements (MOPP/MOOP).

•⁠ ⁠Tool Proficiency: Maintain native workflows across both Altium Designer and KiCad, including layout migration and component library management.

•⁠ ⁠DFx for Rigid-Flex:



Apply specialized Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) rules for flexible circuits (e.g., bend radius constraints, teardrops, stiffener placements, and trace transitions).

•⁠ ⁠Documentation & Audit Readiness: Generate complete production packages (Gerbers, ODB++, IPC-2581, BOM) formatted to satisfy strict FDA/CE medical device history file (DHF) requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

•⁠ ⁠Experience: 5–7 years of qualified PCB layout experience, with a core focus on 4–6 layer boards.

•⁠ ⁠Rigid-Flex Expertise: Proven track record of delivering production-ready flexible or rigid-flex PCB designs.

•⁠ ⁠Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Altium Designer and KiCad.

•⁠ ⁠Medical Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of IEC 60601-1 safety standards, ISO 13485 design controls, and low-noise/shielding techniques for bio-potentials.

•⁠ ⁠Power Management: Experience layout out battery management systems (BMS), charging circuits, and filtering for medical-grade AC-DC inputs.

•⁠ ⁠Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

•⁠ ⁠Experience modeling mechanical fitment and flex constraints using ECAD/MCAD co-design (STEP/IDX with SolidWorks or Fusion360).

•⁠ ⁠Background in high-density interconnect (HDI) layout or micro-via placement for miniature wearables.

•⁠ ⁠Active involvement in resolving engineering queries (EQs) with specialized flex-PCB fabrication houses.
