Role Description The Senior Mechanical Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanpur. This role involves leading mechanical design and engineering activities for storage tanks, bends, chimneys, and related fabricated products. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and reviewing mechanical designs, performing calculations, preparing and checking CAD models and drawings, and coordinating with production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.

The Senior Mechanical

Engineer will manage projects from concept to delivery, collaborate with procurement and quality teams, and support troubleshooting of equipment or process issues. The role also includes contributing to research and development initiatives, optimizing designs for efficiency and safety,



and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with the ability to apply core engineering principles to pressure vessels, structural components, and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and related analysis, including material selection, stress calculations, and design for fabrication and assembly.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D;), with the ability to improve existing products, develop recent concepts, and implement process or design innovations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Practical exposure to fabrication/manufacturing environments, preferably in storage tanks, piping, or structural steel.
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (such as ASME, IS standards) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
