Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead end-to-end design projects, from concept development to final execution, for residential and/or commercial interiors. This full-time, in office role in Bengaluru involves meeting with clients to understand requirements, developing design concepts, preparing presentations, and coordinating space planning, materials, and finishes. The designer will create detailed construction drawings, manage FF&E; selections, and collaborate closely with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design intent is executed accurately.

Day-to-day responsibilities include site visits, quality checks, tracking project progress, and resolving design or execution issues to maintain timelines and standards.

Designer will also mentor junior team members and contribute to refining FDC Studios’ design processes and standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Interior Design skills with a solid understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
- Candidates should possess Space Planning skills to optimize layouts for comfort, functionality, and flow.
- Candidates should possess Architecture-related knowledge to interpret plans and coordinate with structural and MEP requirements.
- Candidates should possess Construction Drawings skills for producing precise, build-ready documentation and details.
- Candidates should possess FF&E; expertise for selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment aligned with design concepts and budgets.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Strong project management, time management, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and teams.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with substantial prior experience in interior projects.
- Experience in leading projects independently and mentoring junior designers is highly beneficial.
