Role Description The Production Engineer role is a full time, on-site position based at the Flowtex Engineers facility in Belgaum.

The Production

Engineer will oversee day-to-day production activities for heat exchangers and related equipment, ensuring that manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, coordinating with design, procurement, and quality teams, monitoring process performance, and troubleshooting production issues. The role involves implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, optimizing workflows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Engineer will also prepare production reports, support adherence to TEMA and ASME standards, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Production Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to manufacturing processes.
- Analytical skills to interpret production data, identify root causes of issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Experience in Production Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Quality Control practices, inspection methods, and compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., TEMA, ASME).
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with shop-floor personnel, engineers, and management.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with heat exchanger manufacturing or heavy fabrication processes is an advantage.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, use basic CAD tools, and work with ERP or production management software is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
