Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will work full time on-site at the Rengali location, supporting the maintenance, optimization, and reliability of mechanical systems and equipment used in aluminum production. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and improving mechanical components, preparing and reviewing technical drawings, and coordinating with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient equipment performance. The role involves conducting root cause analysis for mechanical failures, supporting preventive and predictive maintenance plans, and contributing to process improvements that enhance safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Engineer will also assist in planning and executing engineering projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles with hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in Machine Design, including the ability to develop, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and assemblies.
- Ability to use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, modifying, and reviewing mechanical drawings and models.
- Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and tracking of engineering activities and deliverables.
- Exposure to Research and Development (R&D;), with skills in problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and reliability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Familiarity with industrial standards, maintenance practices, and quality control in the metals or heavy manufacturing sector is beneficial.
