About the Role

Join NPCI's UPI Product team to build and scale products that power one of the world's largest real-time payment ecosystems. You will drive product strategy, platform evolution, ecosystem growth, and AI-led innovation while working closely with banks, fintechs, merchants, regulators, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Execution

- Define product vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities for UPI products.
- Identify customer, business, and ecosystem opportunities through market insights, data, and stakeholder engagement.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous enhancement.
- Lead product planning, prioritization, implementation, and go-to-market execution.

Platform & Product Development

- Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable product solutions.
- Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing products.
- Drive API, platform, and ecosystem capabilities that enhance adoption and customer experience.

Data & AI-Powered Product Management

- Use data, analytics, and experimentation to drive product decisions and measure outcomes.
- Leverage AI and GenAI tools for product discovery, customer insights, prioritization, and decision-making.




- Partner with Data Science and Technology teams to implement AI-driven capabilities across customer experience, fraud prevention, operational efficiency, and product intelligence.
- Evaluate emerging AI innovations and identify high-impact use cases within the payments ecosystem.

Ecosystem & Stakeholder Management

- Engage with banks, PSPs, fintechs, merchants, and ecosystem partners to drive product adoption and innovation.
- Build alignment across leadership, business, regulatory, and technology stakeholders.
- Represent product initiatives in governance forums and industry engagements.

Governance & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, risk, and operational requirements.
- Maintain product governance, documentation, and audit readiness.

Requirements

- Strong Product Management experience in Digital Payments, Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services.
- Deep understanding of UPI, payment systems, APIs, and digital payment ecosystems.
- Experience managing large-scale products from conception to launch and optimization.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to AI, GenAI, Machine Learning, data analytics, and platform products is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
