Role Description The I&C; Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based at the RKM Power Plant THP in Raigarh. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems that support safe and efficient plant operations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring and tuning control loops, troubleshooting instrumentation and control issues, supervising installation and calibration of field devices, and supporting electrical and process control improvements.

The I&C; Engineer collaborates with operations, maintenance, and electrical teams to optimize plant performance, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and support planned shutdowns and commissioning activities.



The role also involves preparing technical documentation, updating control system configurations, and assisting in audits and inspections related to I&C; systems.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Control Engineering and Process Control for industrial or power plant environments.
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to power generation and plant equipment.
- Experience in Control Systems Design, including PLC/DCS configuration, logic development, and system integration.
- Proficiency in Instrumentation, including selection, installation, calibration, and maintenance of sensors and field devices.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with safety standards, industrial codes, and best practices in power plant operations.
- Effective problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in office in a plant environment.
- Prior experience in power plants or heavy industrial facilities is an advantage.
