Role Description This is a full time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Design Engineer role based in Chennai. The engineer will design HVAC systems for commercial and residential projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, and layout planning in alignment with applicable codes and standards. Daily activities include preparing detailed drawings and specifications, coordinating with project managers, contractors, and suppliers, and reviewing design documents to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

The role also involves integrating ventilation, rust-proofing,



and evaporative cooling solutions where required, conducting site visits for design validation, and supporting installation and commissioning teams with technical guidance. The engineer will collaborate with internal stakeholders and international brand partners to maintain product compatibility and optimize system performance.

Qualifications

- Strong HVAC Design and HVAC system planning skills, including load calculations and equipment selection.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and practical application in building services.
- Experience with Plumbing layout and integration with HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in design calculations, documentation, and use of relevant design and CAD software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with local and international HVAC standards, codes, and best practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturer data sheets.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Prior experience in HVAC design for commercial or industrial projects is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and readiness to work on-site in Chennai.
