Role Description The GST Advisor role at Taxblock is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. The GST Advisor will provide end-to-end GST advisory and compliance support, including registration, return filing, reconciliation, and responding to client queries. The role involves reviewing GST laws and notifications, interpreting their impact on clients, and preparing opinions and documentation for audits, assessments, and notices.

The GST Advisor will collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate data collection and timely filings,



while maintaining high standards of accuracy and regulatory adherence. Daily responsibilities also include client communication, issue resolution, and contributing to process improvements and knowledge repositories related to GST.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of GST laws, rules, and regulations, including compliance procedures, return filing, and reconciliation.
- Ability to analyze financial data and transaction records for GST implications, including input tax credit and tax liability computations.
- Experience in drafting GST-related documentation such as responses to notices, audit support papers, and advisory notes.
- Proficiency in using tax and accounting software, Excel, and digital tools for data management and reporting.
- Effective communication and client-handling skills, with the ability to explain complex GST concepts clearly and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work systematically under deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA, CMA, or relevant tax certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in GST advisory, indirect taxation, or related compliance roles in a CA firm, consulting firm, or corporate tax department is preferred.
