About the RolePinaca Technologies is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Data Acquisition and Platform Engineering teams for Pinaca, a social media, cyber threat intelligence, and cyber intelligence platform.

The role involves driving engineering strategy, building high-performing teams, modernizing existing systems, and delivering scalable, secure, and reliable solutions across cloud and on-premises environments, including air-gapped deployments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop the Data Acquisition and Platform Engineering teams, including mentoring technical leads.
- Define engineering strategy, technical roadmaps, delivery priorities, and engineering standards.
- Oversee large-scale data collection pipelines, backend microservices, APIs, AI/ML enrichment, and intelligence search systems.
- Drive the consolidation of existing systems into a scalable, maintainable architecture.
- Establish secure and repeatable release processes for cloud and air-gapped customer deployments.
- Own platform reliability, performance, security, operational efficiency, and infrastructure costs.
- Lead incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with product, customer success, pre-sales, and customer security teams.
- Ensure effective documentation, monitoring, deployment procedures, and operational readiness.

Required Skills and Experience
- 10–15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years managing engineering teams.
- Strong technical background in Python, distributed systems, and enterprise software architecture.




- Experience delivering and supporting on-premises or air-gapped software alongside cloud deployments.
- Experience with large-scale data platforms and distributed data collection systems.
- Practical understanding of ML/LLM workloads and GPU infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Azure and/or GCP.
- Experience modernizing and scaling existing production systems.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), OSINT, social media intelligence, or digital risk protection.
- Exposure to government, defence, law enforcement, or regulated-industry customers.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, ClickHouse, and MLOps practices.
- Knowledge of secure software supply chain practices and enterprise deployment security.

- A standardized release process for cloud and air-gapped deployments.
- Improved platform reliability, data freshness, and collection coverage.
- Published hardware sizing and deployment guidelines for on-premises customers.
- A well-defined roadmap for consolidating data acquisition and platform systems.
