General Information

Schaeffler India is looking for a Team Leader to join the SW&F; (BSW) team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible to lead a team embedded software engineers, who handles Automotive ECUs, BSW activities and ensures the compliance with architectural, functional, and quality requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional to deliver proper quality software solutions following the quality process.

Your Key Responsibilities

People Management and Leadership

- Lead and manage the customer cluster SW&F; team, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and quality expectations
- Mentor, coach, support professional development, and promote team collaboration
- Conduct and manage Development Dialogues, goal setting, follow-up, and closure
- Provide project progress and team performance updates to managers
- Conflict management and escalation handling

Project & Delivery Management
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor software development activities for efficient execution and on-time delivery
- Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies
- Resource planning and allocation, scheduling, workload balancing, and risk mitigation
- Understanding project governance and compliance with project management guidelines

Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Clear and structured communication.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with stakeholders
- Ability to communicate complex or conflicting requirements effectively.
- Strong coordination and collaboration skills.
- Ability to establish transparency and clarity across projects.

Your Qualifications

Education





- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related engineering discipline

Experience

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in handling Team
- Minimum 10 years of experience in embedded Software Projects
- Experience on Autosar BSW components - COM, DCM, MEM, Security
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, IMS, Polarion or similar toolchains
- Experience in project status monitoring, resource planning, prioritization, and escalation management.

Technical Skills
- Robust programming experience in C.
- Good understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers (RAM/ROM/Bus/Peripherals/Interaction/GTM/SPI/MSC), and communication protocols ( CAN/CANFD/LIN/Flexray)
- Deep understanding of AUTOSAR architecture.
- Know how in production line toolchains used by stakeholders

Good to Have
- Experience in providing strategic direction for project execution
- Experience in contributing to the development and continuous improvement of project management policies, standards, processes, and evaluation principles
- Prior experience in a Tier-1 automotive supplier environment
