Role Description The Buyer role at Ranjith Shankaran's MasterShot is a full-time, in office position based in Hyderabad. The Buyer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and sourcing materials, equipment, and services needed for production and daily operations. Typical tasks include obtaining and comparing quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and placing purchase orders while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

The role involves maintaining vendor databases, tracking inventory levels, coordinating with internal teams to understand requirements, and resolving issues related to supply, delivery,



or quality. The Buyer is also expected to monitor market trends, maintain accurate procurement documentation, and support budgeting and cost-control efforts.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in vendor management, negotiation, and relationship building to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing.
- Ability to manage purchasing processes, including RFQs, purchase orders, and inventory tracking, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Competence in using spreadsheets, procurement software, or ERP tools to analyze costs, monitor supplies, and maintain records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with production, finance, and other internal teams.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize multiple purchasing requests and meet project deadlines.
- Understanding of basic finance and budgeting principles related to procurement, cost control, and supplier payment terms.
- Prior experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably in media, production, or a related industry, is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
