Role Description The Buyer role at TE Connectivity is a contract, on-site position based in Satara. The Buyer is responsible for executing day-to-day procurement activities, including placing purchase orders, following up with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and components. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, supporting sourcing decisions, and coordinating with production, logistics, and quality teams to maintain material availability and resolve supply issues.

The Buyer reviews pricing, negotiates basic terms with approved suppliers, and helps maintain accurate data in procurement and ERP systems. The position also supports reporting on supplier performance,



adherence to company purchasing policies, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in purchasing or procurement operations, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining supplier records.
- Ability to analyze inventory data, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with planning and production teams to ensure material availability.
- Basic negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and build effective supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in using ERP or procurement software and standard office tools (e.g., Excel, Word) for data entry, reporting, and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience in manufacturing or electronics industry is preferred.
- Understanding of basic supply chain concepts, quality standards, and safety practices; willingness to learn and adapt to TE Connectivity’s processes and policies.
