Anurag University seeks a Assoc. Dean who can give its School of Management a distinctive identity and a stronger presence in industry. The mandate is to challenge conventional approaches to management education, build a culture of initiative and accountability, and make the School known for graduates who can think clearly, work across disciplines and contribute from day one.

This role calls for an academic leader who is equally comfortable shaping a long-term vision and working with faculty, students and corporate partners to put it into practice.

Key responsibilities

Shape the School’s direction

- Develop a clear academic and growth strategy that differentiates the School of Management.
- Identify emerging areas of management practice and translate them into relevant programmes, courses and learning experiences.
- Challenge the status quo constructively and build support for meaningful change across the School.

Transform teaching and learning

- Move beyond lecture-led teaching through case work, simulations, live business problems, field projects and interdisciplinary learning.
- Help faculty adopt effective teaching methods and assess students on their ability to apply knowledge.
- Strengthen communication, analytical thinking, leadership and skilled readiness throughout the student journey.

Build the right culture

- Create a culture in which faculty and students are encouraged to experiment, collaborate, take ownership and aim higher.
- Mentor academic leaders and faculty, support their development, and set clear expectations for teaching, research and engagement.
- Make student experience and outcomes visible measures of the School’s progress.

Make industry an active partner

- Build sustained relationships with companies, founders, industry bodies and business leaders.




- Bring industry into curriculum design, teaching, mentoring, research, internships and live projects.
- Expand opportunities for executive education, consulting and other collaborations that address real business needs.
- Strengthen placements by building relationships that go deeper than campus recruitment.

Build Anurag’s reputation

- Position the School as a credible and sought-after partner for corporates in Hyderabad and beyond.
- Increase its visibility through thought leadership, industry forums, research, alumni engagement and high-quality partnerships.
- Work with University leadership to strengthen academic quality, institutional goals and the School’s long-term standing.

What success would look like The Assoc. Dean will establish a recognisable direction for the School; introduce teaching practices that students and employers value; develop active corporate partnerships; strengthen faculty performance and student outcomes; and make Anurag University’s School of Management more visible in the business community.

Candidate profile

- A doctorate in Management or a closely related discipline, with substantial experience in higher education and academic leadership.
- A strong record in teaching, curriculum development, faculty leadership and institutional development.
- Credibility with industry and the ability to turn relationships into lasting academic and business collaborations.
- Experience driving change while bringing people along through clear communication and sound judgment.
- An entrepreneurial outlook, intellectual curiosity and the willingness to question established practices.
- A strong commitment to student development, academic standards and measurable outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring both academic depth and the drive to build something distinctive -not simply administer an existing School.
