Role at a glance

We are hiring admission counsellors for our Hinjewadi, Pune, office to generate leads, call prospective students, explain admission details and convert enquiries into confirmed admissions.

Position: Admission Counsellor (03 Nos.)

Location: Hinjewadi, Pune (office-based)

Employment basis: full time, performance-based

Fixed pay: INR 15,000 per month

Variable pay: incentive against each confirmed admission

Targets: Monthly admission targets, reviewed every month

Experience: 1 to 2 years in admission counselling or education sales welcome

About us

ICS Global works with universities on admissions management and student sourcing and organises international academic conferences. We help students and working professionals choose the right programme and complete their admission with confidence. As an Admission Counselor, you will be the first point of contact for these students.

The role

You will own the admission funnel from first call to confirmed admission: build your own lead lists, reach out to prospects, explain the programme and fee details, and follow up until the student enrols.

This is a target-driven role for someone who enjoys talking to people and is motivated by earning more as they convert more. Your fixed salary provides stability, and incentives on every admission deliver rewards.

Success in the first six months means meeting your monthly admission target consistently, keeping the CRM current, and building a reliable pipeline of leads.

Key responsibilities

- Data generation:



Build lists of prospective students and working professionals using social media, online platforms, education fairs, referrals, college and corporate networks, and enquiry forms.
- Cold calling: Make a daily quota of outbound calls to the leads you generate and to enquiries passed to you, and introduce the programmes clearly and politely.
- Share admission details: Explain eligibility, programme structure, fees, schedule, documents required and admission deadlines, and send brochures and follow-up messages on WhatsApp and email.
- Counsel and convert: Understand each student's background and goals, answer questions and objections, recommend the right programme, and guide them through form filling, document submission and fee payment.
- Follow up: Keep in regular touch with interested prospects until they decide, and re-engage those who went quiet.
- Maintain records: Log every lead, call, follow-up and admission status in the CRM or tracker on the same day.
- Report: Share daily call and lead numbers and join a weekly review with your manager.
- Represent us honestly: Share only accurate programme and fee information, and never make promises about placements, results or approvals.

Requirements

We welcome candidates with 1+ years of experience in tele-calling, counselling, or education sales.

Must have





- Graduate in any discipline
- Clear, confident spoken English and Hindi; Marathi is an advantage
- Comfort with making 100 or more outbound calls a day and handling rejection well
- Ability to explain details accurately and persuade without pressure
- Basic skills in MS Excel or Google Sheets, email and WhatsApp
- Willingness to work from our Hinjewadi office, Monday to Saturday
- Honesty, discipline and a strong drive to meet targets

Good to have

- Previous experience in admissions, education counselling, edtech, banking or insurance sales
- Experience using a CRM or lead-tracking tool
- Familiarity with university and distance or online education programmes
- Local knowledge of Pune and its colleges and corporate hubs

Work location and how to apply

This is an office-based role at our Hinjewadi, Pune office. Work from home is not available.

- Days and hours: Six Days Working: 9 AM to 6 PM, One Weekly Off (as per the rotation and need)
- Tools provided: Workstation, calling setup, brochures, scripts and CRM access
- Training: Induction on programmes, fees, admission process and call handling in the first week
