Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Mumbai. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial accounting, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, assisting with monthly and annual closings, and supporting budget preparation and financial reporting. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and applicable regulations, as well as coordinating with internal teams and external auditors.



The Accountant will contribute to process improvements, accurate documentation, and timely financial information to support operational and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in financial accounting and bookkeeping, including general ledger management and bank reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, invoice management, and expense tracking.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ability to use accounting software and spreadsheets, with solid MS Excel skills and familiarity with ERP or finance systems.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, taxation basics, and compliance with local regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; skilled certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in maritime, logistics, or related industries is beneficial but not mandatory.
