GAPPU is a Kolkata-based lifestyle musical instruments brand (Shark Tank India Season 5). We design, manufacture and sell instruments across India through our own website, marketplaces and retail partners.
We're looking for a hands-on Accountant who can own our accounts end to end.
What you'll do
- Handle day-to-day accounting: entries, vouchers, ledgers and reconciliations in Tally and Zoho Books
- Manage manufacturing accounts: raw material purchases, inventory and stock valuation, BOM and production costing, WIP and finished goods
- Handle GST (returns, input credit reconciliation), TDS and other statutory compliance
- Manage receivables, payables, vendor payments and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and keep expense records
- Prepare monthly MIS, P&L; and cash flow reports in Excel
- Coordinate with our CA for audits, tax filings and year-end closing
What we're looking for
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Must have knowledge of manufacturing accounting (inventory, costing, production entries)
- Strong working knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books and Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Valuable understanding of GST and TDS
- Organized, accurate and comfortable working independently in a fast-growing startup
