Brief About the Role / Team / Candidate Requirement The Assistant Manager - Ops Control is responsible for overseeing daily network operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted flight operations across the IndiGo network. The role acts as a key coordination point within the Operations Control Centre (OCC), driving operational decision-making during both regular and disrupted operations. The incumbent is expected to lead operational recovery efforts, provide guidance to OCC teams, maintain effective stakeholder coordination, and ensure operational performance is aligned with the organization's safety, customer service, and cost objectives.

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline. Aviation-related qualification preferred
- Valid DGCA Flight Dispatcher certification/license is mandatory
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Airline Operations, Operations Control Centre (OCC), Flight Dispatch, Crew Operations, Airport Operations, or Network Operations.
- Prior experience in handling operational disruptions and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Experience in team management and operational decision-making preferred.

Job Responsibilities

- Monitor all IndiGo flights through completion and ensure effective network oversight.
- Monitor and manage operational control systems and internal applications supporting day-to-day operations.
- Conduct and lead pre-shift operational meetings with OCC verticals in the absence of the Manager - OCC.
- Manage operational disruptions, evaluate network impact, and drive timely recovery actions.
- Monitor and verify delay reporting, schedule change notifications, aircraft movement updates, and operational communications for accuracy and timeliness.
- Keep management informed of operational status, major developments, and emergency situations affecting the network.
- Provide operational guidance and support to OCC teams during both normal and irregular operations.
- Ensure effective management of OCC and network performance while driving cost-effective operational recovery solutions.
- Ensure continuous flight watch is maintained and provide operational support for deviations, diversions, and contingency scenarios.
- Maintain an effective balance between On-Time Performance (OTP), operational dependencies, customer service, and business objectives.
- Establish and maintain solid working relationships with key stakeholders including Maintenance, Commercial, Engineering Planning, Flight Operations, Cabin Crew Scheduling, Flight Crew Scheduling, Catering, Cargo, Airport Ground Services, and Dispatch teams.
- Drive collaboration across departments to support safe and efficient network operations.
- Identify, coach, and develop high-potential team members while proactively addressing performance and behavioral concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all safety responsibilities and accountabilities as defined in the IndiGo Safety Management System (SMS) Manual.
- Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
