About UsS. V. Thakker & Associates is a third-generation architectural practice with over four decades of experience in architecture, urban planning, redevelopment, and regulatory consultancy. With a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial, institutional, and master planning projects, we combine design sensibility with technical expertise and an in-depth understanding of Mumbai’s urban development and regulatory framework.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Architect to join our team and contribute to projects from conceptual design and planning through design development, technical documentation, and statutory approvals.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop architectural concepts, space planning, layouts, and design proposals for residential, commercial, institutional, and redevelopment projects.
- Prepare architectural drawings, presentation sets, working drawings, and detailed construction documentation.
- Develop 3D models, visualisations, and design presentations to communicate architectural ideas effectively.
- Coordinate with structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in feasibility studies, area calculations, development potential assessments, and master planning exercises.
- Prepare and coordinate drawings and documentation for statutory approvals and regulatory submissions.
- Develop a working understanding of applicable development control regulations, DCPR 2034,



and local municipal approval procedures.
- Participate in site visits, design reviews, client meetings, and project coordination.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of project documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognised institution.
- 1–3 years of relevant qualified experience preferred; motivated fresh graduates may also apply.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Working knowledge of Revit, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, or other visualisation tools is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of architectural planning, building design, construction detailing, and drawing standards.
- Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a professional studio environment.
