AGM – Internal Audit based in Pune

Role Overview: The AGM – Internal Audit plays a critical governance and assurance role within Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited & KOEL Fluid Dynamics. The incumbent will be responsible for independently leading and executing comprehensive internal audits, evaluating Internal Financial Controls (IFC), supporting Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, and driving timely remediation of audit observations across business units.

Key Responsibilities:





Internal Audit & IFC Execution:

- Lead and execute internal audits and Internal Financial Controls (IFC) assignments in line with the annual internal audit plan within designated timelines.
- Define audit scope and objectives and perform fieldwork covering tests of design and operating effectiveness of controls.

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Draft comprehensive internal audit reports, present key findings to stakeholders, and secure agreed action plans with firm completion targets.
- Assist in delivering periodic audit and risk updates to executive management in Management Review Meetings (MRMs) and other forums.

Issue Tracking & Remediation:

- Monitor the status of open audit findings, conducting periodic follow-ups and necessary escalations to drive timely closure.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):

- Obtain and validate the implementation status of mitigation plans and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) within the ERM framework.
- External Coordination & Special Assignments:
- Coordinate actively with co-sourced external consultants on audit progress, deliverables, and open finding resolutions.
- Carry out assigned special projects and ad-hoc audit evaluations.

Strategic Support:

- Support the formulation and periodic review of the annual internal audit plan.

Key Requirements & Competencies

- Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in internal audit, internal financial controls, and risk management.
- Must have Big 4 or Manufacturing company exposure.

Skills:

- Strong technical understanding of internal control frameworks, audit methodologies, and ERM.
- Excellent report drafting, analytical, and executive presentation capabilities.
- Robust stakeholder management and inter-departmental coordination skills.
- Readiness for business travel (~20%). Minimum 7 days in a month

Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Head of Internal Audit of KOEL Corporate team and will collaborate closely with internal audit team
