About House of Sheherwali

House of Sheherwali is a heritage resort in Azimganj, Murshidabad, celebrating the region’s history, culture and hospitality. We are seeking an experienced accounts professional to independently manage the property’s daily accounting activities and financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities

- Maintain books of accounts, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries.
- Reconcile daily revenue, cash collections, bank transactions and digital payments.
- Verify vendor invoices, maintain ledgers and process payments against approved bills.
- Monitor receivables, payables, petty cash and outstanding advances.
- Check purchase, inventory and consumption records in coordination with the operations team.
- Prepare monthly accounts, expense statements, cash-flow reports and management reports.
- Prepare GST and TDS workings and coordinate with the organisation’s Chartered Accountant for statutory filings and audits.
- Support payroll processing and ensure timely month-end closing with proper documentation.

Candidate Profile





- B.Com graduate; M.Com will be an added advantage.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with the ability to manage accounts independently.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation and vendor accounting.
- Previous accounting experience in hospitality will be preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity and discipline in meeting reporting deadlines.
- Willingness to work in office at Azimganj, Murshidabad.

This position is intended for an experienced accounts executive. A Chartered Accountancy qualification is not required.
