- Work on a SaaS product used by thousands of businesses across 39 countries, helping companies track and manage employee spend.
- Engineer backend services that handle ~6 million external API requests daily
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering to craft impactful features that are used at this scale.
- Take full ownership of features - from design and development to deployment and monitoring - while keeping performance and reliability top of mind.

What We’re Looking For

- We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of professional experience building and scaling backend systems,



who can bring both technical depth and leadership maturity to the team.
- Technical Skills
- Robust expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
- Ability to dive deep into debugging, performance tuning, and system design.
- Write and review engineering design docs holistically and act as a final PR reviewer in one or more areas of the product.
- Ability to productively use AI Tools and IDEs to their advantage
- Leadership & Ownership
- Break down initiatives into milestones, estimate effectively, and deliver complex features with mínimal oversight.
- Mentor engineers and provide constructive feedback, and collaborate across Product, Frontend/Backend, and Support teams.
- Identify technical debt, propose roadmap improvements, introduce better practices (monitoring, tests, CI/CD), and participate in recruitment.
