1. Supervising Restaurant Service

- Lead and supervise waiters, stewards, and service staff
- Allocate tables and service sections to staff
- Ensure proper grooming and discipline of staff
- Monitor service standards during operations

- Guest Handling

- Welcome and escort guests to tables
- Handle guest complaints politely and professionally
- Ensure guests are satisfied with food and service
- Build good customer relations and repeat business

- Order Management

- Assist guests in menu selection
- Take orders for VIP guests if required
- Ensure orders are correctly entered and served on time
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar for smooth service

- Table and Restaurant Setup

- Check table setup before opening
- Ensure cleanliness of dining area, cutlery, crockery, and glassware
- Verify proper arrangement of buffet or special setups

- Staff Training

- Train recent waiters and stewards
- Teach service standards, menu knowledge, and upselling techniques
- Conduct briefing before shifts

- Billing and Cash Handling

- Verify bills before presenting to guests
- Handle basic billing issues
- Coordinate with cashier for smooth payment process

- Inventory and Equipment Control





- Monitor restaurant equipment and service items
- Report breakages or shortages
- Ensure proper handling of linens, cutlery, and crockery

- Coordination with Other Departments

- Coordinate with kitchen, housekeeping, stores, and front office
- Inform kitchen about special guest requests or allergies
- Assist during banquets and events

- Sales and Upselling

- Promote special dishes, beverages, and combos
- Encourage upselling to improve restaurant revenue
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and promotions

- Closing Duties

- Ensure side stations are cleaned and stocked
- Prepare shift reports if required
- Check pending bills and closing procedures
