A waiter/waitress is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by greeting guests, taking accurate food/beverage orders, serving, and handling payments. Key duties include menu knowledge, upselling, ensuring food quality, maintaining cleanliness, and managing guest satisfaction, often requiring stamina for long hours. Key Responsibilities - Customer Service: Welcoming guests, presenting menus, and offering detailed information on daily specials and ingredients. - Order Taking & Serving: Accurately taking food and drink orders (often using POS systems) and serving them in a timely manner. - Menu Knowledge: Recommending dishes, pairing drinks, and upselling items to increase check size. - Cleaning & Maintenance: Clearing tables, cleaning, and resetting dining areas to hygiene standards. - Communication: Acting as the liaison between guests and kitchen staff to manage special requests or dietary restrictions. - Payment Processing: Preparing checks,



handling cash or card payments, and processing transactions correctly. Job Requirements & Skills - Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for long shifts. - Communication Skills: Solid interpersonal skills to interact with customers and staff effectively. - Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously under pressure. - Flexibility: Availability to work shifts, including weekends and evenings. - Professionalism: Maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor with customers, even during busy periods.
