About Planet Escapes

Planet Escapes is a travel design studio in Ahmedabad that creates custom international holidays. We don’t sell fixed packages or group tours. Every itinerary is written by hand around the traveller’s tastes, food and pace, with care at every step.

Our destinations include Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, the Maldives, Japan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Turkey, South Korea and Europe. We plan honeymoons, family holidays, trips with friends and group journeys.

Every journey begins with a conversation, and our sales team leads that conversation.

The Role

As a Travel Sales Specialist, you’ll be the first person our travellers speak to. You’ll learn what they’re imagining and help turn it into a holiday they’re excited to book. You’ll work closely with our itinerary designers and operations team so the experience is smooth from the first call to the day the traveller flies home.

What You’ll Do

- Respond quickly and warmly to enquiries from our website, phone, WhatsApp, social media and referrals.
- Understand each traveller’s needs, including budget, dates, who’s travelling, travel style, food preferences and pace, and suggest the right destination and journey.
- Present itineraries and quotations clearly, explaining hotels, experiences, transfers and inclusions in simple terms.
- Follow up on leads steadily, handle objections, negotiate and close bookings in line with monthly targets.
- Keep every lead, call, note and quotation up to date in the Planet Escapes CRM.
- Work with our itinerary and operations teams on hotels, flights, visas and changes to bookings.
- Look after customers before and after the sale: payment reminders, travel documents,



pre-departure briefings and feedback when they return.
- Build long-term relationships that bring repeat bookings and referrals.
- Help with seasonal campaigns, offers and events.
- Keep learning about our destinations, hotels and experiences, and pass customer feedback to the team to improve what we offer.

What We’re Looking For

- 2+ years of sales experience, ideally in travel, hospitality, airline or premium retail.
- A proven track record of meeting or beating sales targets.
- Excellent spoken and written communication in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
- A friendly, customer-first attitude and the patience to handle questions and solve problems calmly.
- Strong skills in understanding needs, suggesting the right solution, negotiating and closing.
- Real interest in travel. Knowing international destinations such as Southeast Asia, Dubai, the Maldives or Europe is a big plus.
- Strong organisation skills: you can handle many enquiries at once without letting follow-ups slip.
- Comfort with computers, email, WhatsApp Business, and a CRM or sales tracking tool.
- Willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad.

Positive to Have

- Experience guiding or training junior sales team members.
- Knowledge of visas, flights and hotel booking processes.
- A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.
