Role Description

Responsibilities We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented ETL Test Engineer with strong expertise in GCP, BigQuery, Data Warehouse Testing, ETL validation, complex SQL, and cloud data platforms to support a large-scale US Healthcare transformation program. The role involves validating data pipelines, migrations, and end-to-end ETL workflows while ensuring data accuracy, completeness, quality, and regulatory compliance. US Healthcare experience is highly preferred.

The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, collaborate effectively with domain and technical experts, and be willing to work overlap hours until 10:30 PM IST. Requirements:

- 5+ years’ experience with at least 2+ years in Healthcare Data Testing in requirement analysis, test design, data preparation, execution, and reporting.

- Perform end-to-end ETL and data warehouse testing.
- Validate data ingestion, transformation, and loading in GCP BigQuery.
- Develop and execute complex data validation tests.
- Use complex SQL for data reconciliation and verification.
- Validate data movement across SQL Server, BigQuery, and source systems.
- Validate source-to-target mappings and data integrity.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams on requirements and data workflows.
- Identify, track, and resolve ETL and data quality defects.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.
- Prepare test reports and maintain documentation.
- Share quantitative and qualitative findings with developers.
- Execute manual and automated functional tests.




- Experience with VSTS/Azure DevOps and JIRA.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of UAT, smoke, regression, API, and defect testing.
- Good understanding of Agile practices.
- Attend offshore, onsite, and client meetings as required.
- Demonstrate UST’s values of humility, humanity, and integrity.
- Work overlap hours until 10:30 PM IST as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Expertise in BigQuery for data validation and analytics
- Advanced knowledge of SQL with the ability to write and optimize complex queries
- Experience testing large-scale data pipelines and ETL workflows
- Knowledge of SQL Server databases
- Experience with GCP Composer (Apache Airflow) for workflow orchestration validation
- Proficiency in Shell Scripting for automation and data validation activities
- Understanding of data quality, data profiling, and reconciliation techniques Valuable to have
- Experience with test automation tools/frameworks
- Knowledge of IBM DataStage
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with healthcare data standards and regulations
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Domain Requirements
- Experience working in US Healthcare projects
- Understanding of healthcare data processing, claims, member, provider, or clinical data
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data governance is an advantage
