Role Description This full-time Technical Proposal Engineer – Primary role is an on-site position based in the Greater Chennai Area. The role involves preparing technical and commercial proposals for high voltage primary systems, including substations and grid connections, in line with client specifications, industry standards, and internal guidelines.

The Technical Proposal

Engineer collaborates with design, project, and commercial teams to gather inputs, develop technical solutions, perform cost estimations, and ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and compliant. Daily tasks include reviewing tender documents, preparing single-line diagrams and equipment lists,



coordinating with vendors for quotations, and supporting bid clarifications and technical presentations to clients. The role also contributes to continuous improvement of proposal templates, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and proposal quality.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of high voltage primary equipment and systems, such as substations, GIS/AIS switchgear, transformers, and grid connections.
- Experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and tender documentation for engineering or EPC projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, single-line diagrams, specifications, and industry standards relevant to power systems.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to organizing proposal information.
- Relevant academic background in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; prior experience in high voltage or utility projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with safety, quality, and environmental management principles aligned with ISO standards and H&MV;’s Zero Accidents culture.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chennai Area, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to international project requirements.
