Job Title: Datadog, Observability (Splunk , AppDynamics)

Location- Bangalore.

Experience required: 4 to 6 yrs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Datadog Engineer with hands-on experience in application and infrastructure monitoring. The candidate will support monitoring configuration, dashboards, alerts, log analysis, troubleshooting, and onboarding of applications and infrastructure into Datadog.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure and maintain Datadog dashboards, monitors, alerts, and notifications.
- Monitor application, server, infrastructure, and cloud health.
- Support APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Log Management, and Synthetic Monitoring.
- Create and modify Datadog queries and dashboards based on operational requirements.
- Assist with Datadog Agent installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Perform basic investigation of application and infrastructure performance issues.
- Support log collection, parsing, filtering, and correlation.
- Assist in onboarding new applications and servers into Datadog.
- Work with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE teams.




- Support incident troubleshooting and basic root cause analysis (RCA).
- Maintain monitoring documentation and follow observability standards.

Required Skills
- 2-4 years of overall IT or monitoring experience.
- Hands-on exposure to Datadog.
- Understanding of APM and Observability concepts.
- Knowledge of metrics, logs, traces, events, dashboards, monitors, and alerts.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux monitoring.
- Basic understanding of AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of HTTP, APIs, networking, and application architecture.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Shell is desirable.
- Positive troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Docker / Kubernetes
- ServiceNow / Jira
- CI/CD, Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- OpenTelemetry
- Prometheus / Grafana
- Exposure to SRE practices, SLA/SLO monitoring, and incident management
