Role Description The Culinary Arts Chef Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based at Indian Culinary Academy in Bengaluru. The instructor will design and deliver engaging culinary classes, demonstrate techniques, and supervise practical sessions in professional kitchen labs. Responsibilities include developing and updating lesson plans and curricula, assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards. The role involves mentoring students on professional kitchen behavior, assisting with examinations and evaluations, and supporting academy events, workshops, and competitions.



Collaboration with other faculty to continuously improve course content and contribute to the academy’s reputation for excellence in culinary education is also expected. Qualifications
• Ability to design and structure culinary courses and training modules, demonstrating strong Curriculum Development skills.
• Proven Teaching experience, with the capacity to deliver practical and theory sessions effectively to diverse groups of learners.
• Foundational creative skills in Art, Painting, and Drawing that support food presentation, plating aesthetics, and visual teaching aids.
• Professional qualification in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management; certification or diploma from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
• Significant hands-on experience in a professional kitchen, hotel, restaurant, or culinary school environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and kitchen operations, with the ability to model and enforce best practices.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills, with a learner-centered and inclusive teaching approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administration, and openness to participate in workshops, events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
