Role Description The Cultural Head is a full-time, on-site role based at Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh in Unnao. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing cultural events, festivals, clubs, and activities that enrich campus life and promote inclusivity and diversity. The Cultural Head will collaborate with students, faculty, and administration to design annual cultural calendars, manage event budgets, and ensure smooth execution of programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring student cultural committees, coordinating with external artists and partners, monitoring event logistics, and evaluating the impact of cultural initiatives. The role also involves developing policies and guidelines for cultural engagement, maintaining compliance with university standards,



and continuously improving cultural offerings to support learner well-being and community building. Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in cultural event planning, festival management, or campus activities leadership, preferably in an educational or youth-focused setting.
• Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events and deadlines.
• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, faculty, artists, vendors, and community partners.
• Proven ability to foster inclusive, diverse, and respectful environments through cultural programming and policy development.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to design engaging cultural initiatives aligned with university values.
• Experience supervising or mentoring teams or committees, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
• Comfort with basic digital tools for communication, promotion, and event coordination; familiarity with social media and outreach strategies is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in arts, cultural studies, event management, education administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Prior experience in a university or academic environment in cultural or student affairs roles is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible hours during peak event periods and maintain a consistent on-campus presence in Unnao.
