Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Presales Solution Architect – AI to own the end-to-end presales journey for our enterprise AI opportunities, from qualified opportunity to a submitted, costed and winnable proposal. You will design first-level generative AI and agentic AI solutions on Microsoft Azure, estimate effort and cost, and draft proposals that delivery can stand behind. This role suits a self-sufficient solution architect who combines strong AI architecture depth with commercial judgement and a bias for speed. Key Functions & Responsibilities
• Own each assigned AI opportunity end-to-end, from qualification through solution design, estimation, review and on-time submission.
• Design first-level AI solution architectures on Microsoft Azure covering data, models, RAG, agentic and integration design.
• Prepare realistic effort, cost and staffing estimates, accounting for the cost variability of agentic and inference-heavy workloads.
• Draft clear, customer-ready proposals, SoWs, solution documents and RFP/RFI responses that connect client problems to business value.
• Orchestrate sales, delivery, OEM partners, finance and security stakeholders to deliver submission-ready proposals within committed timelines.
• Shape and support proof-of-concept (POC) development and customer demos that move opportunities toward a win.
• Build reusable solution patterns, estimation models and proposal accelerators, and hand over won deals cleanly to delivery.
• Surface pipeline insights and work to the practice's win-rate, turnaround, estimation-accuracy and margin targets. Required Skills & Competencies
• 6–8 years of experience in data, AI or cloud solutioning, including at least 2–3 years in presales or solution architecture.




• Strong understanding of generative AI and LLM-based solutions, including RAG architectures and agentic AI patterns.
• Practical experience designing solutions with Microsoft Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, or similar).
• Proven ability to estimate effort and cost for AI engagements, including Azure consumption and inference cost modelling.
• Track record of writing winning proposals, SoWs and RFP responses for enterprise clients.
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently and drive multiple stakeholders to firm deadlines. Preferred / Good-to-Have
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., AI-102 Azure AI Engineer Associate, AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks and orchestration tools (e.g., Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangGraph).
• Multi-OEM exposure (Claude, AWS, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) and familiarity with OEM co-sell and partner funding programmes.
• Hands-on AI delivery background with exposure to MLOps/LLMOps and responsible AI practices. Work Setting This is a full-time position based out of Xencia’s offices in Bangalore / Chennai / Cochin. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative, deadline-driven presales environment as part of Xencia’s Data & AI Practice — a Microsoft Gold Partner and one of India’s leading Azure and AI solution providers. Expect close teamwork with sales, delivery, OEM partners and finance, regular customer workshops and presentations, and direct exposure to enterprise AI opportunities.
