We help fleet owners reduce manual work, improve financial control and simplify the operational challenges of running a fleet. We are looking for a hands-on Sales Manager who understands the logistics and fleet management industry, knows how to sell technology to fleet owners, and can lead our sales team while personally closing high-value customers.
About the Role
You will take ownership of PayTap AI's sales function, including revenue generation, sales team management, product demonstrations, strategic accounts and customer acquisition. You will personally handle high-priority leads, large fleet owners, transport companies and logistics businesses while managing and coaching a team of sales representatives. This is a hands-on role, not a desk-only management position. You must be comfortable picking up the phone, speaking directly with fleet owners, understanding their operational challenges, demonstrating our product, negotiating deals and converting prospects into paying customers. Your goal is to build a predictable sales engine that consistently acquires customers and operates without requiring the founder's daily involvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet Owner Acquisition and Strategic Sales
• Personally engage high-priority leads, large fleet owners, transport operators and logistics companies.
• Identify and prioritise prospects based on fleet size, business potential and buying intent.
• Build relationships with fleet owners, transport business owners and key decision-makers.
• Understand fleet operations, vehicle expenses, fuel payments, toll payments and other operational challenges.
• Present PayTap AI as a solution to improve fleet visibility, payment control and operational efficiency.
• Handle commercial discussions, objections and negotiations within approved pricing policies.
• Close high-value deals and drive bulk fleet onboarding. 2. Product Demonstrations and Deal Closure
• Conduct live product demos for qualified prospects and large customers.
• Deliver customer-specific presentations based on fleet size and operational requirements.
• Explain the benefits of PayTap AI, its payment capabilities, fleet management features and commercial model.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from initial conversation and qualification to demonstration, negotiation, payment and activation.
• Follow up consistently with interested prospects and ensure opportunities do not go cold.
• Personally own strategic opportunities that require senior-level engagement.
• Help sales representatives improve their demo delivery and deal-closing abilities. 3. Sales Team Management
• Lead and manage a team of sales representatives responsible for customer acquisition.
• Assign leads and daily campaigns based on priority and business potential.
• Establish individual sales targets, calling targets, follow-up discipline and conversion goals.
• Conduct daily sales huddles and weekly performance reviews.
• Monitor calling activity, demos, lead conversions and revenue generated by each representative.
• Coach the team on product knowledge, prospect qualification, objection handling and closing techniques.
• Identify underperforming team members and implement improvement plans.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training as the sales team expands. 4. Sales Pipeline and CRM Management
• Maintain complete visibility of the sales pipeline through the company's CRM and calling tools.
• Ensure every lead has an accurate status, next action and follow-up date.
• Plan and monitor daily sales campaigns.
• Track new leads, callbacks, interested prospects, abandoned payments and pending conversions.
• Prioritise high-intent and high-value opportunities.
• Maintain accurate reports on sales performance, conversion rates and expected revenue.
• Improve sales processes and workflows to increase productivity and reduce missed opportunities. 5. Customer Acquisition and Business Growth
• Convert marketing-generated leads into paying fleet customers.
• Work closely with the marketing team to improve lead quality, targeting and sales messaging.
• Identify new customer acquisition opportunities across logistics, transport, fleet management and mobility segments.
• Develop effective sales scripts, presentations and objection-handling frameworks.
• Build referral channels and identify opportunities for partnerships within the fleet and logistics ecosystem.
• Gather customer feedback and share market insights with the product team. 6. Revenue Ownership and Independent Execution
• Own monthly sales and customer acquisition targets.
• Monitor team productivity and take corrective action when targets are at risk.
• Develop a clear weekly plan to improve sales performance and conversions.
• Provide regular updates on revenue, pipeline health, strategic deals and key challenges.
• Run daily sales operations independently, escalating only important strategic or commercial decisions to the founder. Required Experience and Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in fleet technology, logistics technology, transport technology or mobility SaaS.
• Hands-on experience selling software, technology or operational solutions directly to fleet owners, transporters or logistics businesses.
• Proven ability to conduct product demonstrations, negotiate commercial terms and close deals.
• Experience managing or mentoring sales representatives is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, lead qualification, pipeline management and customer acquisition.
• Experience using CRM platforms, sales dashboards and calling tools.
