Hiring: Senior Operations Manager – Group Travel

About the Role

Boketto Travels is looking for a Senior Operations Manager with strong experience in Group Travel Operations and GIT (Group Inclusive Tours).

This role requires someone who understands the operational complexities of group travel, can manage multiple departures simultaneously, and can build scalable operational processes for a growing travel company.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end operations for domestic and international group departures.
- Build SOPs, operational checklists, vendor databases, and quality-control systems.
- ⁠Handle GIT bookings, including itineraries, hotel allocations, transportation, activities, meals, and other travel logistics.
- Coordinate with hotels, DMCs, transport vendors, activity providers, and other suppliers.
- Negotiate group rates, manage contracts, and optimise operational costs without compromising traveller experience.




- Work closely with sales and customer experience teams to ensure a smooth handover from booking to departure.
- ⁠Manage the operations team and establish clear performance metrics for cost efficiency, service quality, and execution.
- Track supplier payments, booking deadlines, margins, and operational budgets.

Mandatory Requirements

•⁠ 3-5 years of experience in travel operations with an established travel company, tour operator, or DMC.

•⁠ ⁠Proven hands-on experience managing GIT and group travel bookings.

•⁠ ⁠Experience handling domestic and/or international group departures from planning to execution.

•⁠ ⁠Strong vendor network and experience negotiating with hotels, transport operators, and DMCs.

Key: Candidates from airlines, hospitality, individual FIT-only travel desks, or unrelated operations backgrounds will not be considered. Experience in group tours and GIT operations is mandatory.
