About the Role

Seeking an experienced Data Engineer to develop and optimize scalable data pipelines, data integration solutions and enterprise data models using Snowflake, SQL and Python. The candidate should have strong data warehousing and modelling fundamentals, along with an understanding of the end-to-end P&C; insurance lifecycle.

Role: Senior Data Engineer (P&C; Insurance Domain)

Experience Level: 4+ Years

Work location: Bangalore/Mumbai/ Trivandrum

Required Experience:

- Solid SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions and query optimization.
- Python scripting for data processing, automation and pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake development, data loading and incremental processing.
- Knowledge of Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and enterprise data warehousing.




- Knowledge of Data Vault modelling (Hubs, Links and Satellites).
- Understanding of fact tables: Transaction, Periodic Snapshot and Accumulating Snapshot.
- Understanding of dimensions: SCD Type 1/2, Conformed, Role-Playing and Junk Dimensions.
- Understanding of the end-to-end P&C; insurance lifecycle, including product setup, underwriting, quoting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, billing, premium accounting, claims and payments.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica IICS or equivalent tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Azure Data Factory or AWS Glue.
- Understanding of batch integration, incremental loads, data validation and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of real-time data integration concepts.
- Advanced Snowflake: Snowpark Python, stored procedures, UDFs and warehouse cost optimization.
- Real-Time Integration: Kafka, Change Data Capture (CDC), event-driven architectures and streaming pipelines.
- dbt: Data transformation models, testing, documentation and dependency management.
- Control-M: Batch scheduling, job dependencies, workflow monitoring and failure recovery.
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS/Azure, Git, CI/CD pipelines and production support.

Must Have Skills: SQL, Python, Snowflake, data warehousing/modelling, ETL/ELT and P&C; insurance domain knowledge.
