Education-

- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field; OR
- Master’s degree with 5–8 years of relevant industry experience in bioinformatics and genomics.

Mandatory Skills-

- Solid experience in NGS data analysis, including WGS, WES, targeted sequencing, transcriptomics, and related applications.
- Hands-on experience with microarray platforms such as Illumina and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix, Python, Bash, and R.( Any One Mandatory)

Role Description The Senior Bioinformatician role at Xpozive Media is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The individual in this role will design, develop, and optimize pipelines for DNA sequencing and other high-throughput sequencing data, ensuring high-quality analysis and reproducible results. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing statistical and computational analyses, interpreting complex datasets, and generating reports and visualizations for cross-functional teams.

The Senior

Bioinformatician will collaborate with researchers and technical staff to define project requirements, validate methods, and translate biological questions into analytical workflows.



The role also involves mentoring junior team members, maintaining documentation and best practices, and supporting continuous improvement of tools and processes to meet scientific and business objectives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Statistics and Data Analysis for interpreting large-scale biological datasets.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Sequencing and DNA Sequencing, including experience with high-throughput sequencing platforms and related tools.
- Candidates should possess solid Research skills, including study design, hypothesis testing, literature review, and documentation of methods and findings.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with bioinformatics tools and programming languages (such as Python, R, or similar) and familiarity with common genomic databases.
- Candidates should possess the ability to communicate complex scientific and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant advanced degree (such as Master’s or PhD) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects, with strong problem-solving and time-management skills, is preferred.
