Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Atlassian Jira / Jira Service Management (JSM) Developer with solid hands-on expertise in Jira, JSM, Confluence, automation, integrations, and the broader Atlassian ecosystem.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end Jira/JSM development and implementation, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, customization, integrations, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, customize, develop, and support Jira Software and Jira Service Management (JSM).
- Design and implement Jira workflows, screens, fields, schemes, permissions, roles, notifications, and automation.
- Configure JSM request types, portals, queues, SLAs, approvals, and ITSM processes.
- Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Jira/JSM solutions.
- Develop and maintain REST API and webhook-based integrations.
- Implement inbound, outbound, and bidirectional data synchronization between Jira/JSM and enterprise applications.
- Work with Atlassian Marketplace applications such as Getint or equivalent integration tools.
- Integrate Jira/JSM with enterprise platforms such as Oracle HRMS/Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Teams, and other ITSM systems.
- Troubleshoot Jira, workflow, automation, and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Perform development, testing, deployment, documentation,



and post-production hypercare activities.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and IT teams on projects and enhancements.
- Evaluate and leverage Jira-native capabilities and Marketplace applications before developing custom solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support for Jira/JSM administration and development activities.

ITSM Knowledge Strong understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes, including:

- Asset & Configuration Management
- ITIL best practices

Integration & Security

- Strong experience with API-based integrations and enterprise data exchange.
- Experience with data synchronization, validation, enrichment,



and workflow automation.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API tokens, RBAC, HTTPS/TLS, and secure credential management.
- Experience troubleshooting API and integration failures.
- Understanding of secure integration and authentication practices.

Experience & Qualifications

- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on Jira/JSM experience.
- Proven experience in end-to-end Jira/JSM implementations, enhancements, integrations, and production support.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and cross-functional IT teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Atlassian Jira/JSM and ITIL certifications are an advantage.
- Experience with Python, Java, or similar programming languages is an advantage.
