Role: SAP S/4 HANA Developer

Location: Pune/Nagpur (Work From Office/Hybrid)

Shift Time: UK Shift (02:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support SAP solutions in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in SAP ABAP, SAP S/4HANA architecture, and modern SAP development technologies, including ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), Core Data Services (CDS), and OData services.

The candidate will work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance SAP solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP S/4HANA applications and enhancements.
- Develop and optimize ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Work with ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and SQL performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain OData services and RESTful APIs for SAP Fiori and third-party integrations.
- Implement SAP RAP-based applications and follow SAP Clean Core principles.
- Develop and enhance SAP Fiori/UI5 applications in collaboration with frontend developers, as required.
- Support SAP integrations with external applications using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and other integration technologies.
- Analyse functional specifications and translate business requirements into technical design documents.
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams across modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, or other relevant business areas.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, root-cause analysis, and production support.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design reviews, deployment planning, and transport management.
- Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements.




- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with development standards and security guidelines.
- Work onsite with client teams and participate in project meetings, workshops, and implementation activities.

Required Technical Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA application architecture and development practices.
- Proficiency in ABAP Objects, reports, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, BAPIs, and function modules.
- Experience developing CDS Views and working with the ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.
- Knowledge of OData services, REST APIs, and SAP Gateway.
- Experience with SAP HANA database concepts and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and SAP interface development.
- Experience with debugging, performance analysis, testing, and production issue resolution.
- Understanding of SAP transport management and change control processes.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP Business Application Studio.
- Experience with SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and extensibility approaches, where applicable.
- Knowledge of SAP Clean Core principles and released APIs.
- Experience with SAP ATC, ABAP Unit, and automated quality checks.
- Exposure to SAP migration, conversion, implementation, or upgrade projects.
- SAP S/4HANA or ABAP development certification is a plus.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 6+ years of SAP technical development experience, including hands-on SAP ABAP experience.
- Demonstrated experience working on SAP implementation, enhancement, integration, or support projects.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.
